Let's See The Damage...

Here are some pictures I took today of Smokey and his bandaged up leg. And if you're wondering about the braids...my mom's boyfriend's kids came over to the house today and thought Smokey looked "lonely" out in his paddock...so they begged me to bring him in so they can groom him. The girls got a little outta hand with his mane & tail. They got a hold of Casper, too...sadly, I didn't get any pictures of the blue-eyed boy :)

Top: Smokey showing off his pretty braids. For those who don't know, the giant green thing hanging from the ceiling is a Jolly Ball; an overpriced horse toy designed to provide "hours of fun and entertainment for the stalled horse." Smokey has no idea now to use it and, frankly, it just annoys him to have to duck under it when he walks through that corner of his stall.

Middle Left: Smokey in his paddock; his least favorite place in the world. This time it was made with eletric fencing tape; a much more sturdy alternative to his last paddock, which fell over every time Banjo tried to head-butt Smokey through the fence *rolls eyes*.

Middle Right: Classic Quarter Horse butt shot :D This one shows off his pretty braided tail and pretty blue bandage (ok, it's really turqoise. I know Lil'emo too well to think she'd let me get away with calling it blue *rolls eyes* Love you too!)

Bottom Left: "Cummon, Casper...get me outta this thing!!"

Bottom Right: "But Mommy, It's so boring in here!!!" Maybe he'll think of that next time he tries to run through a fence *rolls eyes*

Smokey only has to be on stall rest for one more week as of today :D Yay him!!
